If you notice any robins beginning to gather up materials like leaves and moss, chances are they are preparing to nest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNever go looking for the robin's nest – they will probably abandon it if they feel it’s been discovered. Make sure its somewhere that the bird can be seen and ideally where it is silhouetted against the clear sky or a light single colour. We always suggest that you take your time, find the perfect spot and be the artist. You can easily move it afterwards of course.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe easy part is installing it. Simply grab a hammer and knock it into a tree or post. If the wood is particularly hard, drill a hole a little smaller than the spike, and then hammer it in firmly making sure there is no movement in the bird.
